Vada pav chutney is a traditional Indian condiment made from a variety of spices and herbs. It is typically used as a dipping sauce for vada pav, which is fried potato dumplings. The chutney can also be used as a spread for sandwiches or as a sauce for other dishes.

They must be roasted well like it is done for Roasted Jeera powder. Transfer to the plate and cool all of them. If your amchur & dry ginger are from refrigerator, you may gently warm them up in the same pan. This helps in better shelf life of the pav bhaji masala.

Serve hot along with a lemon wedge, chopped onion and green chilli. Now add chopped lauki along with coriander and mix well, followed by a cup of chopped potatoes. Finally, press the vada pav and serve the tasty treat immediately. In the same pan of vada, fry the green chilli, by turning off the flame. Be careful as the oil may splutter. Now make the ball shape from the aloo mixture.

This is because the buns need some support to rise. They will not form shape otherwise. Usually, 3 cups flour gives you 9 buns weighing 70 to 75 g each. Thus a single Pav bun would weigh around grams. In the beginning, measure your balls and then shape them into roundels.

Then turn off the flame and add 1 tbsp lemon juice to the mixture. Mix well and your mixture is ready. You really don’t need these in grams as only few ingredients are used.

The texture and fluff of pav made with maida is softer and fluffier. Wholewheat flour and maida can be combined to make a delicious snack. You can bake in your microwave just like you would in a conventional oven with a convection setting. When you step out of Mumbai, you can’t help but notice that pav bread is a little more like a bun.

Cook for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is fully coated with the masala. Finally, add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Now add mashed boiled potatoes along with turmeric powder and salt as needed. Once cooled down, add it to the blendar jar with salt and red chilli powder. Then add ½ cup water or as required and prepare smooth lump free batter. I’m Swasthi Shreekanth, the recipe developer, food photographer & food writer behind Swasthi’s Recipes.
